Paolo Stellino

Paolo Stellino is FCT post-doc fellow at the Nova Institute of Philosophy (IFILNOVA). His main fields of interest are history of philosophy (19th and 20th century, with a strong expertise in the work of Friedrich Nietzsche), ethics (metaethics, evolutionary ethics, bioethics), philosophy of suicide and philosophy of film. He is particularly interested in the relation between philosophy and 19th/20th Century literature as well.
He is member of the “Lisbon Nietzsche Group”, the association “Hyper Nietzsche”, the “International Nietzsche Research Group”, and the “Seminario Permanente Nietzscheano”; collaborator of the “Internationale Nietzscheforschungsgruppe Stuttgart”; associate member of the “Centre d’Ethique Contemporaine” and of the “Centre de Recherches Interdisciplinaires en Sciences humaines et Sociales” (CRISES) of the University of Montpellier (Paul-Valéry Montpellier III).
He is the author of the book “Nietzsche and Dostoevsky: On the Verge of Nihilism” (Bern: Peter Lang, 2015) and co-editor of “Nietzsche y la hermenéutica” (with F. Arenas Dolz, L. Giancristofaro. Valencia: Nau Llibres, 2007, 2 Vols.) and “Teoria e pratica della verità in F. Nietzsche” (with P. Gori. Pisa: ETS, 2012). He has also published several papers in international journals and books (see Web Page).
